Netflix series based on 'masterpiece' franchise gets exciting new update
Netflix has announced four major names joining the highly anticipated Assassin's Creed thriller series, which is currently filming in Italy.

Netflix's forthcoming thriller series adapted from one of the most legendary video game franchises in history has just announced an exciting development.
On Monday, 16th March, the streaming platform disclosed that four prominent names have been added to the Assassin's Creed series, which is presently shooting in Italy.
Adapted from the bestselling video game franchise, which has shifted over 230 million copies since its debut in 2007, the sweeping historical science-fiction thriller is being helmed by showrunner Roberto Patino, recognised for Westworld and Sons of Anarchy.
Netflix has now confirmed that Noomi Rapace (Prometheus), Ramzy Bedia (Of Money and Blood), Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible), and Corrado Invernizzi (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny) have been cast in the series in unspecified recurring roles.
They will appear alongside the previously confirmed leads Toby Wallace (Pistol) and Lola Petticrew (Trespasses), with Zachary Hart, Laura Marcus, and Tanzyn Crawford also amongst the principal cast, reports the Mirror.

An official synopsis for the Assassin's Creed series characterises it as "a high-octane thriller centred on the secret war between two shadowy factions - one set on determining mankind's future through control and manipulation, while the other fights to preserve free will.
"The series follows its characters across pivotal historical events as they battle to shape humanity's destiny."
Countless enthusiasts will be keenly awaiting the live-action adaptation of the popular action adventure game, which was previously realised in the critically panned 2016 film starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard.
Widely regarded as one of the finest video game series ever created, the franchise currently comprises 14 main titles and several spin-offs that enable players to assume control of assassins influencing historical events across the globe, from Europe and the Middle East to Ancient Greece, Egypt and, most recently, 16th Century Japan.

Several instalments in the series have been described as "masterpieces" by fans, including one Redditor who said of the very first game: "From the ambience of the cities to the historic approach the game tried to take in comparison to the others of the franchise.
"From the clothing to the streets, everything feels.... On touch."
Another said of the follow-up trilogy set in Italy: "One of the best stories in any game ever. 10/10 trilogy. Literally don't have to play any other AC games fr."
And someone on X raving about the latest instalment wrote: "After spending over 200 hours with Assassin's Creed Shadows, I can confidently say it is a masterpiece.

"Having played numerous AAA titles, I can attest that this stands among the best ever created.
"The level of detail is astounding-from the breathtaking landscapes and stunning artistry to the deep, engaging combat system and the intricate stealth mechanics. The sheer variety of ways to execute assassinations is remarkable."
Stay tuned for more story details about the eagerly anticipated live-action adaptation arriving soon.
