The BBC has reportedly wiped Scott Mills' Top of the Pops episodes from its archives in the latest blow to the fired Radio 2 presenter. The 53-year-old was axed last week by the corporation, six days after he signed off from his BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show, telling listeners he would be back the following day. He was reportedly sacked after the BBC learned the alleged victim in a police investigation was under 16 years old. Last week, the BBC said in a statement that it was made aware in 2017 of the investigation into allegations of serious sexual offences, but said new details emerged in recent weeks, which subsequently led to his sacking.

Now, BBC viewers have noticed Mills’ episodes of Top of the Pops from 1999 have been removed.

Taking to X, one person said: “BBC Four are skipping the 6, 13 and 20 August editions of #TOTP, as they're the final three presented by Scott Mills...”

“Have they had to skip weeks of Top of the Pops 1999 because of Scott Mills? A jump from 2 July 1999 to 23 July 1999!”

The BBC will not repeat any Top of the Pops episodes featuring Mills, the Daily Star has claimed.

Express.co.uk has contacted the BBC for further comment.

In the wake of his axing, Mills’ shows on iPlayer have been removed, as well as a plaque at Fleet services on the M3.

He’s also been replaced on Race Across The World’s spin-off show by DJ and former celebrity contestant Tyler West.

Mills broke his silence last week, saying in a statement: "Since the investigation related to an allegation that dates back nearly 30 years and the police investigation was closed 7 years ago, I hope that the public and the media will understand and respect my wish not to make any further public comment on this matter."

He added: "I wish to thank from the bottom of my heart all those who have reached out to me with kindness, my former colleagues, and my beloved listeners, who I greatly miss."
