I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! bosses have shared a post about the “King of the Jungle” which has left fans baffled as it was shared ahead of Monday’s launch show. The All Stars series is back on screens and stars the likes of former football star Jimmy Bullard, who first appeared on the 2014 series.

Ahead of the launch of this season, the I’m A Celebrity Facebook page shared a picture of 47-year-old Jimmy in his South Africa outfit. The caption said: “Does former King of the Jungle, Jimmy Bullard, have what it takes to win the Legend crown too?” However, viewers pointed out a major blunder as Jimmy had, in fact, been voted out first in his 2014 series.

Someone shared on X: “Carl Fogarty won the year he was on?” Another added: “He didn’t win, he was out first because of his banter with Jake Quickenden. Foggy won that year.”

A third noted: “He was out first that year, because I remember being outraged by it.” Someone else remarked: “Someone doesn’t know the history of I’m A Celebrity, he didn’t win, he was on the show [the] year Carl Fogarty won it.”

Responding to the backlash, the ITV account said: “Turns out our memory’s got a bit foggy over the last 12 years.”

The caption was then changed to read: “Jimmy Bullard is back to tackle his way to the top for the Jungle Legend crown.”

Jimmy was an early favourite in 2014, but he was the first to be booted out as opinions seemed to shift following an exchange with X Factor star Jake Quickenden when the footballer asked the singer why he was famous.

Many viewers accused Jimmy of bullying Jake after the footballer asked him: "Why the f**k are you in here? What are you? What sort of skill have you got?”

Addressing the conversation in recent weeks with Express.co.uk, Jake stated: "It was mad. I absolutely love Jimmy, and he was my best mate in there. All we did all day was take the p**s out of each other.

"I think it actually started because I said that he was built like Mr Burns from The Simpsons so then he started giving me loads of s**t, but obviously in the edit, they didn't really show me saying anything back."
