Stephen Fry confronted with intimate sex life question as he exclaims 'wow'
Sir Stephen Fry was grilled about his marriage to husband Elliott Spencer and asked a direct sex question on ITV's The Assembly.

Sir Stephen Fry brushed aside an intimate question when quizzed about his personal life during filming for The Assembly.
The beloved comedian and Blackadder star features in ITV's distinctive programme, heading up the second series following the triumphant first instalment featuring Danny Dyer, David Tennant, Jade Thirlwall and Gary Lineker.
The interviewing series brings together a group of autistic, neurodivergent and/or learning disabled interviewers to question prominent celebrities, with absolutely no topic or question considered off-limits.
During his episode, Sir Stephen, 68, opens up candidly about his mental health battles, including a previous suicide attempt, his past drug abuse, and his illustrious career.
He was also questioned about his marriage to Elliott Spencer, who is 30 years his junior, reports the Mirror.

The pair first met in 2012 before tying the knot in 2015, with Sir Stephen revealing on The Jonathan Ross Show in 2015: "We met at a friend's house and I knew pretty much straight away that this was someone I wanted to spend, what I considered, the rest of my life with."
He has since addressed their age gap, responding to "people who don't like age-gap relationships".
Sir Stephen said: "I feel a bit sorry for them, I don't see why they should have such an opinion about things but the only thing that matters in a relationship is love, and if you feel it, and it's felt on both sides, and it's not an exploitative relationship.

"I would say to people that in our relationship, Elliot has all the power really, he makes a lot of the decisions about things because I trust him to. It works for us, extremely well. If people don't like it, sod them."
He subsequently offered his thoughts on finding love, as The Celebrity Traitors star said: "It's a different world now because so many spouses are found online, but I guess, put yourself out there in a safe and happy environment. But I'm afraid I'm out of that game, and have been for 11 years since I found my husband."
Sir Stephen was also pressed on his intimate life, when quizzed on whether he was "a top or a bottom".

Brushing it aside with a laugh, he responded: "Wow. That is as direct as it gets, I'm going to leave that a mystery for people to guess."
In a 2022 interview with The Mirror, Sir Stephen revealed that he had discussed starting a family with his husband.
He said: "There is a part of me that obviously feels in another world, if I'd timed things right, I might have had children.
"I have many godchildren now, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, but I'll never experience a child growing up. It's a slight sadness."I mean, that's probably the biggest hole in my life experience.

"I've been fortunate enough to have done so many things, and experienced so much, and met so many people I've been thrilled to meet and had opportunities that are just unbelievable, really."
He went on: "I've had opportunities, I suppose, to have had children. I could have sorted something out.
"Elliot and I, we talked about it a bit, but we never talked about it to the extent of 'Right, so, we're going to a clinic tomorrow to talk this through to some expert'.
"We never quite got that far. It was always 'Yeah, it would be nice, wouldn't it?' So that's probably that. Otherwise, of course, there are regrets in life."
