Meghan Markle and Prince Harry became Netflix stars when their explosive self-titled documentary was released in 2022 giving fans an inside look into their lives and the highly-publicised fallout with the Royal Family. After dropping some more notable projects, including Harry's bombshell memoir Spare and Meghan's move into lifestyle products with her brand, As Ever, all eyes are on the Sussexes' next move.

The couple, who stepped down as senior royals in 2020, have attempted to forge their own careers outside of the shadow of the Windsor family, but in recent months, it was announced Netflix had ended their partnership with Meghan's lifestyle brand. It has grown to include household items such as jams, teas, wine and honey.

This has led to questions about the Sussexes' future after cutting ties with the streaming giant. Olivia Bennett, Digital PR Director at SEO and PR agency Go Up, has suggested the public are anticipating "what comes next" for Meghan and Harry.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, she addressed the streaming platform pulling out of As Ever, explaining: “The Netflix decision will inevitably generate headlines, but it doesn’t automatically signal long-term damage to the Sussex brand.

Partnerships in this space are often fluid, particularly when expectations on both sides are high. The bigger question now is what comes next.”

Olivia suggested Meghan and Harry are still exploring plenty of other opportunities.

“There’s still a sense that Meghan and Harry are shaping what their post-royal identity looks like, and when projects don’t land as strongly as expected, it can create the impression of starting again," she commented.

"In reality, there are often multiple opportunities developing behind the scenes, but a high-profile partner like Netflix naturally draws more attention when things shift.”

This slight bump in the road does not mark the end for Meghan, according to the PR expert.

Olivia shared: “From a PR standpoint, this is recoverable. Meghan has been moving into the lifestyle and wellness space for some time, so the focus now is on proving that As Ever can stand on its own.

She continued: “The reality is that Meghan will always generate media attention, and while that brings scrutiny, it also brings opportunity. Moments like this can look like setbacks publicly, but they’re often part of a wider business journey. There are likely other avenues already being explored, even if they’re not yet visible.”

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan are preparing to travel to Australia later this month.
