Antiques Roadshow star Theo Burrell has shared a deeply personal health update with fans after undergoing further surgery in her ongoing battle with brain cancer. The television presenter revealed on social media that she had her second operation earlier this week and is now recovering at home, describing her condition as stable and positive.

Posting to her followers, Theo wrote: “Just a quick update from me to say I had my second surgery on Monday morning and I'm now back at home recovering. So far, I'm feeling pretty good.” She explained that while the procedure has affected her eyesight, she remains optimistic about her recovery.

“My eyesight has had a bit of a bashing, so we'll see how that goes, but otherwise I'm very much in one piece,” she said.

Theo added that she was treated by the same surgeon who operated on her three and a half years ago, praising the medical team and expressing gratitude for the care she has received.

“I had the same surgeon as I did 3.5 years ago, and in him I totally trusted,” she added. Alongside the update, Theo also addressed others living with brain cancer, marking a significant milestone in her own journey.

“Wednesday this week marked 43 months since I got diagnosed with a glioblastoma,” she wrote.

“I actually first started having symptoms in December 2021, though — so I know I have had this disease for four years.”

She acknowledged how isolating and frightening the experience can be, but urged others not to give up, saying, "Hope can be thin on the ground in this experience, but if my story gives you even five seconds of hope, then grab it with both hands.”

Theo ended her message by sending love to others affected by brain tumours and brain cancer, saying she is “always thinking of those who have been affected” and wishing them strength.

Fans and fellow presenters flooded the comments with messages of support, praising Theo’s resilience and positivity in the face of such a serious illness.
