In another preview of forthcoming episodes, April Windsor confesses to murder.

Viewers will remember that April and her partner Dylan Penders have lately been exploited by Ray Walters and his mother Celia Daniels under the guise of settling their supposed "debts", a ploy intended to manipulate them into drug trafficking.

The storyline intensified when Celia pressured April into attending two prostitution appointments, where she declined to sleep with client Callum.

Yet when Callum refused to accept her rejection, he attacked her, prompting a frightened April to seize a bottle of vodka and hit him over the head. Since that moment, April has been consumed by the conviction that she murdered Callum, which has only driven her further into Ray and Celia's manipulative grasp as they covered up what happened.

Yet the teenager remains unaware that Callum is actually alive and unharmed, with Ray and Celia exploiting his supposed 'death' to maintain their hold over April.

In the preview footage, April seemingly confides in her father Marlon Dingle and Rhona Goskirk about the situation, insisting they cannot involve the authorities.

As the pair move towards leaving for the police station, determined to halt Ray and Celia, April blurts out: "We can't go to the police because I killed a man, I'm a murderer" leaving both her father and stepmother absolutely stunned.

Will they manage to rescue April or face danger themselves in the attempt?

Emmerdale continues on weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV and ITV X.
