An Emmerdale legend has expressed their disappointment at being excluded from the forthcoming Coronation Street crossover episode.
In early 2025, British soap opera history will be made with an hour-long special called Corriedale, bringing together characters from both programmes in an unprecedented celebration of the genre.
The landmark episode, scheduled for January, promises "everlasting consequences for everyone involved", with the Manchester and Yorkshire-based shows' worlds cleverly interconnected through an "ingenious way".
Whilst specifics remain closely guarded, it's been confirmed that Emmerdale's Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Corrie's Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) will feature prominently in the on-screen drama.
Additionally, this week witnessed the release of a dramatic trailer showcasing the aftermath of a devastating multi-vehicle crash on a treacherous country road near Hotten village during a fierce storm, reports the Daily Star.

Frantic pleas for assistance echo through the darkness as emergency responders reach the scene, with viewers of both programmes recognising the voices of David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and Aaron in the preview.
However, one Emmerdale stalwart appears rather disgruntled about being overlooked for the Corriedale special, with Paddy Kirk star Dominic Brunt addressing the matter during a recent Loose Women appearance.
Dominic, who has been part of Emmerdale since 1997, expressed his disappointment: "Well I'm fuming because I'm not in it and I made a heavy hint I wanted to be in it!".

He added: "I'd read the scripts and it's incredible. And it was weird having all the Corrie lot in our canteen, like Claire Sweeney nicking your chips! But honestly, it's gonna be amazing. It'll be a really, really good episode."
In an additional twist for the Corriedale episode, viewers have been invited to vote on which duo from the soaps will share a scene. The pairings have been shortlisted, but only one scene will be broadcast on the night.
Emma Atkins is set to film a scene with Alison King, James Hooton confirmed he'll be shooting alongside Andy Whyment, and Nicola Wheeler will be collaborating with David Nielson.
It was also revealed that Mike Parr will be working with Kate Ford, who portrays the legendary Corrie character Tracy Barlow.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
