Elsewhere another viewer predicted: "John Sugden shall appear as there's a Wanted pic of him in Corrie".

Soap enthusiasts also speculated that Belle Dingle will be involved as one person said: "Tonight Belle said she had secured a wedding in Manchester, then Debbie said she's booked a young wedding planner".

One viewer chimed in: "Belle keeps mentioning Manchester and the wedding so that must be something to do with it" while another fan noted: "Last week Belle also said that she had a bridezilla who wanted a choir too."

The special episode is set to air in early January 2026, marking a celebration of the soap genre and kickstarting ITV's new 'soap power hour' scheduling pattern for Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

ITV has hinted: "Corriedale is just the start of the drama as the aftermath of the crash gives rise to fear, murderous intent, death, destruction, closely-guarded secrets, and lies.

"Life in Emmerdale and Weatherfield will never be the same again!".

While the exact storyline remains a secret, it has been confirmed that Corriedale will be a one-off one-hour spectacular.

Corriedale airs in early January 2026 on ITV and ITV X.
