Reuben Owen, 21, alongside his girlfriend Jessica Ellwood, are quickly ascending to become television's newest power couple, enchanting audiences with their adorable rapport. The Channel 5programme Reuben Owen: Life In The Dales documents the young love blooming between Reuben and new beau Jessica, a shepherdess from Yorkshire who shares much with his renowned mother, Amanda Owen.

"Mum and Jess get on well, they talk about sheep together," Reuben disclosed, who has matured in the public eye through the family's series Our Yorkshire Farm. "They all approve and they all get along really well." The viewers have grown fond of Jessica watching her toil alongside Reuben in tasks ranging from mending potholes and extracting stone to assisting him in corralling stray ewes and nurturing lambs with a bottle.

But their 10-month whirlwind romance almost faltered before it could truly begin with Reuben misplacing his wallet just before their initial rendezvous, after he had already worried over inviting Jessica out. "It took me a while to ask her out, I wasn't that brave but I just asked her one night," Reuben shared. "We went out for some tea one night and I'd lost my wallet and she had to pay for my dinner."

Fortuitously, the lost wallet incident did not mar their date, and soon enough, the pair found themselves irresistibly drawn to each other. "She bought my tea but I've made up for it since then. She's brilliant," Reuben expressed.

Viewers have been captivated as they've watched the couple dive into each other's lives, tackling every challenge head-on. "We just work together really well and it doesn't matter what we're on, whether it's driving the digger, or with the sheep, we just get on with it," Reuben enthused.

Taking the plunge into reality TV is no small feat, but despite their relationship being in its early stages when filming kicked off, Reuben was convinced that inviting her to join him on the show was a stellar move. "She was working on a lot of jobs with us and I thought it would be nice for her to be on and I just want people to see how lovely she is," he shared.

Jessica isn't just a hit because of her charm; she's also a whizz at farming, having been raised on Brough Castle Farm and assisting her parents from a young age. "She's got an incredible knowledge of farming and machinery," Reuben boasted.

And it's not only her expertise that shines through; Jessica's beauty is undeniable. "She's absolutely stunning," Reuben gushed.

Reuben longs to become a farm owner, with ample room for both his machinery and Jessica's livestock. "We're just waiting for something to come up," he admits, adding that he hopes to "I've got to try and get a nice place, get a bit of a farm somewhere one day. It would be ideal to have a farm where I can park my diggers and she can have her sheep and cows."

The young couple are not rushing into marriage or parenthood, though Reuben aspires to reach that stage "eventually". He chuckles at the thought of a large family like his parents', stating, "I don't think I fancy nine of them, I don't fancy nine at all. We'll have to wait and see."
