Created by author Arminta Hall, Imperfect Women has been adapted by Apple TV, with the eight-part thriller delving into a story of love, betrayal and retribution.
Eleanor (played by Kerry Washington), Mary, (Elisabeth Moss) and Nancy (Kate Mara) may have been inseparable when they were younger, but this doesn’t mean they don’t have secrets.

Eleanor Bouchet - Kerry Washington
Eleanor Bouchet is one of the trio of friends at the heart of Imperfect Women who seems to have a perfect life but feels lonely in her successful philanthropy career.
But perhaps she wishes for life to resume normality after one of her best friends dies and their decades-long bond is unexpectedly broken.
Actress Kerry Washington is famed for playing Olivia Pope in the unforgettable drama Scandal for seven years.
She has also had major roles in shows such as Unprisoned, The Prophecy, How to Get Away with Murder and Little Fires Everywhere.
Mary Simpson - Elisabeth Moss
Actress, producer and director Elisabeth Moss is best known for starring as June Osborne in the award-winning drama The Handmaid’s Tale since 2017.
This is far from her only memorable part though as Moss also played Peggy Olsen in period drama Mad Men and had roles in The Invisible Man, Top of the Lake, The Veil and horror film Us.
Moss is behind Mary in Imperfect Women, who has a “compromised-filled home life” as a mum and wife.
Nancy Hennessey - Kate Mara
Nancy is the focus of Imperfect Women as she is the friend that’s mysteriously murdered but as the investigation begins, Mary and Eleanor discover she was hiding plenty of secrets.
Actress Kate Mara has a plethora of shows under her belt, including playing Zoe Barnes in Netflix’s House of Cards, computer analyst Shari Rothenberg in 24 and Hayden McClaine in American Horror Story: Murder House.
Robert - Joel Kinnaman
Swedish-American actor Joel Kinnaman is best recognised for starring as Edward Baldwin in For All Mankind, Stephen Holder in The Killing and Rick Flag in the 2016 film Suicide Squad.
He is behind Nancy’s wealthy husband Robert and while their marriage seemed perfect from the outside, it doesn’t take long before he’s considered as a murder suspect.
Howard - Corey Stoll
Actor Corey Stoll starred as Congressman Peter Russo in the first season of Netflix’s political thriller House of Cards which earned him a Golden Globe nomination in 2013.
He is also remembered for playing Mike Prince in the drama Billions, as well as Dr Ephraim Goodweather in FX’s horror drama The Strain.
Stoll is behind Howard, Mary’s husband, in Apple TV’s Imperfect Women.
Donovan - Leslie Odom Jr
Little is known about actor Leslie Odom Jr’s character as of yet apart from the fact that Donovan is Eleanor’s brother.
Odom Jr is an actor and singer who made his acting debut on Broadway in 1998 as Aaron Burr in the hit musical Hamilton.
In terms of his TV credits, Odom Jr has appeared in Love in the Time of Corona, The Many Saints of Newark, Abbott Elementary and Law and Order: SVU.
Imperfect Women premieres on Wednesday, March 18, on Apple TV.
