Emmerdale viewers are bracing themselves for a shocking twist as they predict a tragic death in the Dingle family.
Charity Dingle, portrayed by Emma Atkins, has been a mainstay on the soap since her first appearance in 2000 and has been involved in numerous dramatic storylines.
Currently, she is expecting a baby after agreeing to be a surrogate for her granddaughter Sarah Sugden, played by Katie Hill.
However, Charity's life has taken a complicated turn as she secretly slept with ex-lover Ross Barton, played by Michael Parr, leading to uncertainty about the baby's paternity.
Ross has been pressing for answers, but Charity's life has become even more chaotic after her husband Mackenzie Boyd, played by Lawrence Robb, abruptly left her, reports Daily Star.

Unbeknownst to Charity, Mackenzie was apparently murdered by clandestine killer John Sugden, portrayed by Oliver Farnworth, after discovering that he had killed Nate Robinson, played by Jurrell Carter, the previous year.
In a tense confrontation in the woods, John shot Mackenzie with an arrow before seemingly finishing him off with a large stone. John has since been covering his tracks and has been sending messages to Charity from Mackenzie's phone, impersonating him.
In Wednesday's episode (August 27), Ross returned demanding answers from Charity and insisted on a paternity test. A stressed Charity then ordered Ross to leave.

However, amidst all the turmoil surrounding expectant Charity's storyline, viewers are convinced a shocking death could be imminent. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, supporters are speculating that Charity might face a tragic end.
One viewer penned: "I have a horrible feeling Charity is going to die soon. Either during childbirth or when she finds out about Mack I think." Another fan contributed: "I thought this too, it would be so sad but nobody is safe I guess."
A third supporter then remarked: "100% she's going to end up having a heart attack or something from the stress." Sharing similar concerns, another commented: "Maybe in childbirth."
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
