Meghan Markle's yet-to-be-released lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard has reportedly suffered some setbacks ahead of its launch, namely some copyright issues. However, the company could be unveiled before the end of the year, a source has claimed.

Speaking to PEOPLE magazine, the source close to Meghan also dismissed rumours that the former Suits actress is struggling to find a CEO for the company, branding them "untrue".

An insider previously told PEOPLE magazine that Meghan’s new enterprise “will reflect everything that she loves — family, cooking, entertaining and home décor.”

The source also said that the Duchess of Sussex “is excited about her latest, personal venture", which she teased earlier this year.

"This is something she’s been wanting to do for a while. She is excited to share her style and things that she loves," they added.

Over the past few months, the Duchess of Sussex shared a glimpse of some of the items that may soon be available in the line, including tableware, drinkware, kitchen linens as well as foods such as jellies, jams, marmalade and spreads, cookbooks and even dog biscuits.

The no longer working royal also sent out the first product from the line – strawberry jam – to celebrities including Kris Jenner, Chrissy Teigen and Mindy Kaling, who shared the product, alongside the brand logo online.

Meghan is no stranger to the lifestyle space and had her own blog called The Tig, which became a hub for those with a "hunger for food, travel, fashion & beauty". She closed it right before her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.

With Prince Harry and Meghan no longer working as royals, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex now reside in California, which gave Meghan the inspiration for the brand name.

The town where the couple reside with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet is called Santa Barbara, which has been nicknamed the "American Riviera".

“Meghan finds the name American Riviera Orchard perfect,” a source told PEOPLE. “It feels authentic to her. She can’t wait for the website to launch.”
