A source has said that the two brothers, who were once inseparable, are not on speaking terms and this will not change despite Harry's upcoming milestone birthday.

Although Prince Harry will be celebrating a huge milestone birthday this Sunday, the prince will not be receiving a call from his brother Prince William.

Despite their once close bond, the brothers have been in a large rift since the Duke of Sussex quit the Royal Family in 2020 and went on to make revelations about the family in tell-all interviews and his bombshell memoir Spare.

Since then, the brothers have not been on speaking terms and did not even engage with each other at a Spencer family funeral in the UK last month, which Harry flew in from America for.

The Mirror has now reported that the non-speaking terms still apply as a source has revealed that Prince William, 42, will not call his younger brother on his 40th birthday tomorrow.

The source told The Mirror: “What a difference the years have brought. When Harry turned 30, it looked like nothing could come between him and his brother. Together, they were set to become the new face of the royals, injecting a much needed modernisation of The Firm.

“But now, William and Harry don’t even speak. Before, they always celebrated major milestones together but there will be no transatlantic call between the two on Harry’s big day.”

This comes after the Duke of Sussex released a statement days ago about his excitement at turning 40.

Harry said: “I was anxious about 30, I’m excited about 40. Becoming a father of two incredibly kind and funny kids has given me a fresh perspective on life, as well as sharpening my focus in all my work.

"Being a dad is one of life’s greatest joys and has only made me more driven and more committed to making this world a better place.”

It is believed the prince will spend his birthday in California with a big birthday bash planned by his wife Meghan Markle, 43.

The party will be attended by his two children Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, along with friends of the prince.

Harry is then expected to enjoy a few days away with his friends before flying to New York for a series of solo engagements.

King Charles, who is still on speaking terms with his youngest son, is expected to call Harry on Sunday to wish him a happy birthday.
