Princess Diana's sweet nickname for Prince Harry has resurfaced as royal fans say the Duke of Sussex is 'all Spencer.'

The Duke of Sussex is turning 40 tomorrow (Sunday, September 15) and to mark the milestone, admirers of the Firm will be wishing him a very happy birthday. It is thought Harry may spend his birthday with friends in Montecito, California, where he lives with his family.

Harry's own mother had a sweet moniker for the prince, which has now been revealed in a clip posted to TikTok by LadBible affiliate, Tyla. The People's Princess used to call her son 'My little Spencer', and it seems royal fans think the name is apt.

One wrote: "He really is a full spencer!Spencer!! Diana definitely." A second added: "His mother instilled love & kindness in their short time together…. They are both lovely human."

Meanwhile a third chimed in: "'My little Spencer' definitely awesome" and a fourth agreed: "l've huge respect for Harry definitely takes after his mum xx."

Royal experts previously revealed Diana loved Harry's 'cheeky, impish' nature when he was a little boy. The late Princess of Wales wanted Harry, along with her oldest son, Prince William, to be "familiar with the Spencer side of the family" before she tragically passed away in an August 1997 car crash, at the age of 36.

Commentator Ingrid Seward previously revealed: "Diana always said that Prince Harry was the naughty one like her. She called him, 'My little Spencer.'"

Fans also learned Harry's real name is not, in fact, Harry in the run-up to his birthday. The Prince was born Henry Charles Albert David and, like many members of the Royal Family, does not have a normal surname like the rest of us. He used 'Wales' in his younger years while he can now go by Sussex or Mountbatten-Windsor.

"PRINCE HARRYS REAL NAME IS HENRY?? wtf," one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "PRINCE HARRYS REAL NAME IS H E N R Y?" said another.

Meanwhile a third chimed in: "I just learned Prince Harry (or anyone in the royal family) does not possess a last name, nor born with one. Wild," while a fourth agreed: "Prince Harry isn't called Harry?!"

The Prince even made a joke about the confusion his name can cause. At the WellChild Awards earlier this year, he said: "My name is Henry, but everyone calls me Harry. I have no idea."
