Royal watchers have identified a subtle manoeuvre Princess Kate deploys when preparing for photographs, now affectionately termed the "Princess Shuffle".

Kate, who recently announced the completion of her chemotherapy treatment for cancer, was seen executing the "Princess Shuffle" in a TikTok video that has gone viral with more than 340,000 views.

The video's caption explains how Kate adeptly uses the move to "discreetly" edge closer to others before a photo is snapped.

The clip shows Kate being nudged to move to her right, and then she deftly shuffles her feet sideways while maintaining her forward-facing position - all the more remarkable as she's donning heels!

The video has charmed thousands of royal enthusiasts, with many expressing their admiration for the Princess Shuffle. One commented: "Loving the shuffle."

"We love her! [...] You shuffle Princess from one cancer survivor to you," another said.

On Monday (September 9), Kate featured in an endearing video with Prince William and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, where she shared news about her progress with cancer treatment.

The 42-year-old recounted her ordeal with cancer as "scary" and "incredibly tough", but shared the inspiring message: "Out of darkness, can come light." She also paid homage to fellow cancer fighters with heartfelt words, saying: "I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand."

She reflected further: "The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything."

Kate now plans to start a light programme of royal engagements. Palace sources said she is hoping to attend the Cenotaph with her family for Remembrance Sunday but would not be joining William in November during the future King's Earthshot Prize awards in South Africa.
