Loose Women fans say the same thing after Denise Welch's comeback to 'rude' co-star

Loose Women's Janet Street-Porter caused a bit of a ruckus among ITV daytime viewers after she cheekily took a jab at co-star Denise Welch during Tuesday's episode. The panel, which included Brenda Edwards and host Christine Lampard, were in the middle of a fiery debate about whether parents should incentivise their children for exam success when Janet couldn't help but boast about her 11 'O' levels.

Denise recounted her own school days: "When I was doing my 'O' Levels, my mum and dad could have offered me the world and I would have still climbed down the drainpipe to go and be with my boyfriend. I was awful as regards revising and studying and it just wasn't for me."

After revealing she secured five 'O' Levels, Janet jested, "Is that all? ", prompting Denise to disclose that her exams took two attempts because she had to resit Needlework.

Janet, always one to stir the pot, made sure to point out that one of Denise's five 'O' Levels was in Needlework, followed by a chuckle. Denise quickly retorted, "And we're all on the same show, thank you very much!"

Despite Denise shrugging off Janet's dig with good grace, fans watching from home weren't too pleased with Janet's sharp banter with her colleague.

In Denise's favour, an emotional viewer asserted: "I must say I was cross with JSP boasting about how many O'Levels she achieved and belittling Denise for achieving 5 O' Levels and one being for needlework. How disgusting. Who does she think she is. I was impressed with Denise's responses to the digs JSP made."

A second supporter expressed their feelings on the issue, stressing: "Janet is so rude."

Previously in the episode, the duo disagreed on infidelity. The pair revealed past wrongdoings and justified why they wouldn't pass judgment on others.

Denise shared her point of view stating, "Back in the day, I wouldn't, no. If I was in that situation, I wouldn't have judged someone if they had possibly cheated. I always think that there are no excuses for things, but there are reasons for things."

Adding her perspective to the contentious matter, Janet began by revealing: "Like Denise, I was a compulsive cheater..."

However, Denise immediately addressed the statement, interjecting assertively with, "I wasn't compulsive," prompting laughter from the audience, allowing the panel to continue their conversation without any more squabbles.

Fans also shared their thoughts about this segment, with one tweeting: " I find Janet’s pride in being a serial cheater revolting #LooseWomen."

Someone else wrote: " I hate the way Janet trivialises her adultery #LooseWomen."

Defending Janet, another penned: "At least she's open and honest about it. She didn't have to tell the world."
