Eamonn Holmes thanks Kerry Katona for support after divorce

Eamonn Holmes thanked Kerry Katona for her messages of support after confirming he and Ruth Langsford were parting ways after 14 years. Kerry appeared on Tuesday's GB News to discuss whether it is wrong for straight actors to play gay characters.

But as the interview came to a close, Kerry shouted to Eamonn: "I love you, Eamonn." Eamonn didn't appear to hear Kerry as Isabel Webster nudged him and said: "She said she loves you."

"I know she does," Eamonn replied. "There is no secret..." Eamonn blew Kerry a kiss before adding: "And thank you for all your kind messages, Kerry I appreciate it."

"You're welcome," Kerry told the host before Eamonn told viewers they were "taking a break".

Last month, Eamonn and Ruth released a joint statement confirming they were filing for a divorce. The statement read: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."

And while Ruth is yet to publicly address their split, Eamonn did take a moment to address it last week on GB News.

"Just before we move on we'd just like to thank people for your support for Ruth and I over the last few days as to the news of our separation," Eamonn told viewers.

"Your support for both of us is very much appreciated."

Eamonn and Ruth have been married since 2010 and have been together for almost 30 years. They share one son, Jack, who was born in 2002.

The GB News host also has three children, Declan, Rebecca, and Niall, from his first marriage to Gabrielle.

Eamonn was absent from GB News the week his divorce was announced but returned to hosting duties the following Tuesday.

Ruth has reportedly decided to take an "extended break" from Loose Women since their separation.

A source claimed to The Sun that the 64-year-old won’t be making an appearance on the Loose Women panel this week. They said: “Ruth will not be back on screen this week.

"She has decided to extend her break from ITV so will not yet be making a return to the Loose Women panel."

Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel airs between Monday and Wednesday on GB News.
