Our Yorkshire Farm's Reuben Owen's series replacement confirmed after sad finale

Reuben Owen, the breakout star of Our Yorkshire Farm, was at the heart of an emotional goodbye last week as his beloved Channel 5 series concluded. The finale marked the end of Reuben's second business year with a cosy celebration at the local pub, where he joined friends Sarah and Tommy to look back on a year filled with challenges and achievements, toasting to the future.

It is unclear whether Reuben's show will be renewed for another series, but a new show will take its place in the TV schedule this week. Reuben Owen: Life in the Dales usually airs at 8pm on Thursday night, but instead, Happy Campers: The Holiday Park will take its place.

The synopsis for the new series reads: "At Tencreek Holiday Park in Cornwall, a 14-strong family have arrived for their annual camping trip, but the weather threatens to ruin their stay. Can Park Manager Rob and his team help turn it around? In Somerset, there's a new star for the summer panto as Head of Entertainment Chunkie Russell takes a chance on a stage novice."

At the end of Reuben's show last week, fans aired their concern about whether there would be another series. One viewer expressed: "Hope they make some more programmes of Reuben."

Echoing the sentiment, another fan commented: "Same here, I hope it went down well and got high viewing figures."

A third chimed in: "What an amazing series we all had being with Reuben. Hopefully will be returning to us all again."

"Thoroughly enjoyed watching Reuben going from strength to strength in his new business venture with the help of his friends Tom and Sarah. They make a great team and I wish them every success in the future I can't wait for the next series."

While Channel 5 has not yet confirmed a new series featuring Reuben, during the finale, Tommy did hint at his departure following his successful HGV theory test pass.

"Are we going to lose you any time soon then? " Reuben inquired of his mate.

"No, I wouldn't have thought so. I haven't even booked my test yet so it definitely won't be soon," addressed Tommy.

Fire up another question, Reuben asked: "When you pass, will you do a couple of days with me, a couple of days with Neil, or...?"

"Yeah," elucidated Tommy, "I obviously want to drive a wagon but I'll still help you now and again."

"Grand job," pondered Reuben as Sarah swooped in to add. "If we have not got Tom around it's just going to be a bit more work for us, isn't it?"
