The Chase fans make same complaint after player makes 'worst decision ever' seen on show

Bradley Walsh hosted another repeat episode of The Chase on ITV1 as four contestants took on Paul Sinha to win a cash prize.

The Chase: Contestant Heather crashes out after taking high offer

As another repeat episode of The Chase aired on ITV1 on Wednesday afternoon, viewers were left up in arms after a contestant appeared to make "the worst decision".

Dougie from Aberdeenshire, Heather from Hinckley, Rosy from Birmingham and Richard from Bristol took on Paul 'The Sinnerman' Sinha in the hopes of winning a cash prize.

Heather was up to attempt to win some money in the cash builder and was offered a high offer of £36,000 or a low offer of £1,000 by Paul.

Feeling hopeful, she made the decision to go for the high offer and told host Bradley Walsh: "You only come here once, I'm gonna go with the high offer."

Unfortunately, Heather got the answer to the first question against The Sinnerman wrong and was sent home, losing the high offer of £36,000. Fuming viewers immediately took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their frustration.

One fan expressed: "What the hell was Heather thinking?? One of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen from an early player! There was already 28k in the bank she should’ve gone low for 1k. #TheChase."

Another viewer fumed: "#thechase Why would you go for the highest offer if there’s already £28k on the board? I think it’s pure greed."

Somebody else exclaimed: "Wrong time to go big. #TheChase," while another said: "#thechase Embarrassingly bad."

A fifth penned: "Heather not as good as she thought she was #TheChase."

While a sixth ITV viewer added: "Bloody hell, that was quick #TheChase."

Heather's defeat was made even worse after all three of her other contestants made it through to the final to take on Paul.

Dougie, Rosy and Richard ended up defeating The Sinnerman and took home a whopping £43,000 between them.

The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
