Queen Camilla has gone back to work with a bang this week as she threw herself into a number of royal engagements.

While King Charles decided to stay at Balmoral for a bit longer, the Queen did not delay her return to work and was the first royal to return after the summer holidays.

On Tuesday, Camilla wowed fans again as she visited Bath to open a new cancer centre, a cause close to her heart as her husband continues his cancer recovery.

Camilla, 77, officially opened the new Dyson Cancer Centre at Royal United Hospitals (RUH) Bath NHS Foundation Trust and spent time talking to staff members and patients.

The Queen told people at the centre that the King was doing well as she listened to them talk about their experiences.

Later that day, before flying back to Balmoral, the Queen then headed to Wiltshire to open the new headquarters of Stonegate Farmers, a new state-of-the-art facility where free-range and organic eggs are packed.

She then returned back to royal duties on Thursday when she made her first visit to the English National Ballet since becoming patron earlier this year.

The Queen watched rehearsals of a new Nutcracker performance and Akram Khan’s reimagined version of Giselle, which is returning to London in September for the first time in five years. She then had the opportunity to speak to some of the dancers involved.

Later that day, the Queen stepped out of her royal shoes and into her parenting shoes as she headed to the book launch of her son Tom Parker-Bowles new book.

At the event, Camilla was spotted catching up with her ex husband Andrew Parker-Bowles, who she divorced in 1995.

The Queen then attended her final engagement of the week on Friday when she paid a visit RAF Leeming to meet service personnel and their families to learn about the welfare support they are offered.

She joined members of the base who enjoy the ‘Wellness Area’ at a reception before watching a flypast of Hawk jets, which concluded her royal engagements of the week.

She was one of two working royals who returned to work this week.

Prince William sent fans into a frenzy as he returned to work sporting a new beard on Thursday.

He arrived at the Saatchi Gallery in London to view Homelessness: Reframed, a groundbreaking exhibition which brings to life the breadth and complexities of homelessness.
