Prince William’s blunt response when asked if he’d forgotten Prince Harry's birthday
The Prince of Wales was questioned by royal fans about his brother Prince Harry's birthday amid their rift.
Prince William insisted he had “not forgotten” his brother’s birthday when challenged by royal fans on the Sandringham estate a few years ago.
With the rift between Prince William and his brother Prince Harry having been present since Harry’s departure from the Royal Family in 2020, royal fans are eager to know whether the princes are on talking terms.
This was evident on Prince Harry’s birthday in 2022 when the Prince of Wales was challenged by members of the public on whether he had remembered his brother’s birthday.
According to The Sun, William was asked by one fan whether he had forgotten Harry's birthday.
Prince William replied: “It is his birthday today - you’re absolutely right, it is. No, I’ve not forgotten.”

It is not clear whether William wished his brother a happy birthday privately over recent years as tensions were high after the release of Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare just months beforehand.
This sent shockwaves through the Royal Family, even more so than Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docuseries and their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Since the release of Spare, Prince Harry and Prince William have not been seen in close contact and even managed to avoid each other at the King’s Coronation last year.
When Harry flew back to the UK after his father King Charles’ cancer diagnosis earlier this year, William did not see his brother, showing the British public just how strained the relationship had become.

A source has also confirmed to The Mirror that William will not be in contact with Harry as the Duke celebrates his 40th birthday.
King Charles is expected to call his youngest son on his big day, which will be celebrated in America with a big birthday bash.
No members of the Royal Family will fly across the pond to see the prince.
