Man Utd: Pundit accuses Ed Woodward of lying about transfers
Manchester United are aiming to strengthen their midfield this summer. Ed Woodward and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are both eyeing the Premier League title next summer and feel they require more if they’re to catch the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City. So Express Sport will now take a look at how United’s midfield options could look next season if they sign Jack Grealish and Jude Bellingham.
Grealish’s decision to flout lockdown rules at the end of March certainly raised eyebrows at Manchester United.
But they’re willing to look past that, with Solskjaer a huge admirer of the Aston Villa star.
United want to sign the 24-year-old after Solskjaer has only heard positive things about the 24-year-old and what he could bring his side.
They also feel Grealish can be another leader within the Old Trafford dressing room - something the club have lacked since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
Villa want £60million for their skipper but, in a post-coronavirus world, they’re unlikely to get it.

While United want to sign Grealish, it looks like any potential buy will be made at the expense of Paul Pogba.
The France international still wants to leave Old Trafford, a year after expressing a desire to pursue a new challenge elsewhere.
No discussions have been held about a new contract, with Pogba’s current deal expiring in 2021.
And all signs point to a parting of the ways come the end of the campaign.
United had been hoping to make a profit on Pogba but know that’s unlikely to happen now. Juventus appear frontrunners - but Real Madrid could swoop for him too.

Hannibal Mejbri
Few had heard of Hannibal Mejbri when United signed him from Monaco in last summer’s transfer window.
However, the 17-year-old is already held in high regard among fans of the Red Devils.
Mejbri is viewed as a generational talent within the club and, though they play in different positions, has drawn comparisons with PSG’s Kylian Mbappe.
United are likely to fast-track him to the first team sooner, rather than later.
And it’s looking increasingly likely that could be this summer.
