Manchester United are working to offload attacking outcasts Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood by next week, according to reports. Erik ten Hag will welcome a large chunk of his squad back at Carrington for pre-season on Monday, but Sancho and Greenwood are unlikely to be a part of the training party.
United are set to accelerate their transfer plans now that the 2023/24 PSR window has passed and Sir Jim Ratcliffe has the three core members of his new-look recruitment team in place.
Those plans will include player sales, with the Red Devils required to boost their summer transfer kitty while under restrictions imposed by Financial Fair Play.
Several first-team stars are believed to be in the shop window as part of a ruthless clearout at the start of the INEOS regime.
United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for several senior names, including Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Casemiro, Donny Van de Beek, Christian Eriksen and Hannibal Mejbri.
Among those up for sale are Sancho and Greenwood, and the circumstances around their recent loan exits may mean neither join their team-mates at Carrington to prepare for the new campaign.
According to HITC, United have stepped up their efforts to cash in on both attackers this week at the request of Ten Hag.
The Dutchman reportedly doesn't consider either of them in his plans for his third season in charge, and there is a feeling within the club that it would be best if they weren't involved in pre-season training.

Sancho returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan for the second half of last term following a four-month exile - punishment for failing to apologise for publicly calling Ten Hag a liar over his training performances.
Greenwood was sent to La Liga club Getafe on deadline day last summer after agreeing with United that he was better served resuming his career away from Old Trafford.
The 22-year-old had missed 18 months of football after he was arrested in January 2022 and later charged with attempted rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and controlling and coercive behaviour, all of which he denied.
The UK's Crown Prosecution Service dropped all charges in February 2023, and months later, Greenwood left for Spain, where he scored 10 goals in 36 games.
