Man Utd: Pundit discusses Solskjaer's transfer plans
Manchester United owners the Glazers are convinced the club are on the right track under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to reports. The Norwegian has overseen a mixed campaign at Old Trafford. But it appears he has the backing of the Red Devils’ owners, who are determined to see the club win the Premier League title again.
Manchester United’s owners the Glazers have come in for criticism in recent years amid the club’s failure to get anywhere near winning the Premier League title.
The Red Devils have got nowhere near the prize fans dream of the most, with Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement ending their spell as England’s best side.
Since the Scot walked off the likes of David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho have all failed at Old Trafford.
Under Solskjaer, who replaced Mourinho in December 2018, results have been mixed.
United were on a run of 11 games without defeat before the coronavirus crisis saw football grind to a halt.
But, for the most part, it’s been an infuriating campaign for the club and their supporters across the globe.

And United also have transfer interest in Jude Bellingham, who met Sir Alex Ferguson and Ed Woodward at United’s Carrington training complex before the pandemic.
Meanwhile, former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino recently suggested he was willing to return to the Premier League.
The Argentine has long been of interest to United, with Ed Woodward courting his signature before naming Mourinho as manager in 2016.
But former United star Paul Parker thinks the Glazers are making the right call by standing by Solskjaer.
“Given that nothing has really been happening in football, people have got to find a story they can build into something,” he told talkSPORT.
“You talk about Pochettino, he’s been mentioned of late. I’ve seen that he’s been speaking on TV, he’s about and people are trying to push him towards jobs.
“You throw him in at Manchester United and it’s an easy one to do, to say that something COULD happen.
“But things at United have shown, with how they finished before this situation started, it would have suggested they would have been there until the last kick of the ball to get into the Champions League.
“They had turned around, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had turned them around as a team, as a club, the whole place was definitely moving forward.
“When you look at the players he’s spent money on, not one of them has let Solskjaer or Manchester United down, they have all stepped forward. Bruno Fernandes in particular has made an impact straight away and everyone is growing into it now and has got the right mentality.
“So United at this moment are going forward, we’ll wait and see what happens when things start again, but if you’re judging now it’s wrong that people are still trying to get that man [Solskjaer] out of that job.”
