Man United: Angel Gomes scores incredible goal for U23's
Manchester United see both Jude Bellingham and Angel Gomes as generational talents, according to reports. However, whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have both in his squad remains to be seen. Borussia Dortmund want to sign Bellingham from Birmingham, while Gomes could become a free agent with his contract at Old Trafford set to expire.
According to the Evening Standard, Manchester United have high expectations of both Bellingham and Gomes.
They want to sign the former from Birmingham, with the 16-year-old impressing in the Championship this season.
United showed him round their Carrington training complex before the coronavirus crisis, with Bellingham and his family meeting Ed Woodward and Matt Judge.
Sir Alex Ferguson was also there to greet the teenager, with United going on the charm offensive.
And they’re hopeful that he’ll reject Dortmund and be part of their squad for next season.
It’s previously been reported that Bellingham harbours concerns over the playing time he’d receive should he move to Old Trafford.

They’re reportedly prepared to pay him wages of £30,000-a-week - despite the teenager only making a few first-team appearances.
And United still have huge hope that he’ll sign on the dotted line, even if all signs currently point to a parting of the ways.
Meanwhile, regarding Bellingham, United legend Rio Ferdinand recently backed his old side to sign the Birmingham star.
"Hopefully that let’s Man United in the back door and take him – unless we’re at the front of queue already,” Ferdinand said after reading a rumour that the coronavirus crisis could boost their chances of securing the player’s signature.
"Jude Bellingham: Huge talent. Huge talent.
“Really good-looking footballer in the way he plays, the balance, the poise he’s got, the maturity at such a young age. I want to see more.
"But you’re buying this kid, the price tag is phenomenal, £30million for a kid, for a 16-year-old boy. It’s unbelievable.
“But it’s the way of the world now, and the way you’ve got to think about it is: if you’re paying £30m and we keep him for 10 years it’s money well spent.
"It’s a gamble, it’s an expensive gamble, but the kid – if you’re playing in the Championship and doing what he’s doing and looking the player he is – it’s a gamble, yeah, but a calculated one.
"I think he’s someone I would 100% take.
“If I’m Man United now, go in and get him. You can understand why the likes of Borussia Dortmund are trying to get him, trying to take him. The kid seems to me to have it all."
