Avengers 5 has reportedly had a plot leak with a crucial role for Loki and the TVA, plus a superhero cast list and the latest scoops on production and directing.

Five years on from Avengers Endgame and the next MCU crossover extravaganza is set to hit cinemas in May 2026.
Originally titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Avengers 5 may get a title change at the Comic Con Marvel panel later this month after Kang star Jonathan Majors was dropped from the franchise.
Recent rumours have included Infinity War and Endgame directors The Russo Brothers asking to helm the next Avengers movies but being turned down by Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige.
Meanwhile, scooper Jeff Sneider’s latest is that Deadpool and Wolverine director Shawn Levy is no longer in contention to helm Avengers 5.
Nevertheless, there are some exciting updates and leaks from the latest reports.
According to Nexus Point News, Avengers 5 will start shooting in late March 2025 and run through that Summer. The outlet noted: “Due to the size of the cast and the film itself, several actors will be filming their scenes in chunks. Actors may have to film all their scenes at once in the span of weeks without the whole cast or even everyone in the scene being present during the shoot.”
As for the plot, Cosmic Circus reports the structure will be similar to Avengers Infinity War with superheroes splitting up. However, this time around rather than Infinity Stones, the McGuffin will be Yggdrasil, the Norse tree of life. At the end of Loki season 2, Loki became God of Stories, holding the strands of the multiverse together as his new glorious person.
The scooper shared: “Picture Yggdrasil as the new McGuffin/Infinity Gauntlet of the Multiverse Saga. He/She/They who control Yggdrasil will control over the entire Multiverse and bend it to their will. Everyone will want their hands on it.
“Right now, Loki has control over it, and he is simply keeping the Multiverse at peace and preventing incursions as best he can to ensure that every universe is able to exist in stable harmony. But there is only so much the ‘God of Stories’ is able to do. After all, as much as I would want him to be, Loki is not a God. Much like everyone else, he is born, he lives, and eventually, he will die. And what do you think will happen then?”
Meanwhile, the likely superhero cast of Avengers 5 has also been leaked.

Avengers 5 hits cinemas on May 1 2026 and Avengers Secret Wars follows on May 7, 2027.
