Kaye Adams discusses Princess Kate's return to public life

The Loose Women panel addressed Kate Middleton's first public appearance in months as host Kaye Adams noted a key distraction amid the royal's return. The lead presenter was joined by panellists Denise Welch, Dame Kelly Holmes and Linda Robson on Monday's episode.

Taking the opportunity to address King Charles's official birthday celebration with Trooping the Colour, the Prince and Princess of Wales were joined at Buckingham Palace with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

While the panel members gushed over Kate's "radiant" appearance at the royal event the lead host suggested the attention had been taken away from the future Queen.

Kaye began: "Onto another big event at the weekend, the Trooping of the Colour for King Charles's 75th birthday.

"Now, the king, felt wonderful having his family around him and it was the Princess of Wales' first public appearance since she revealed she was undergoing preventative treatment for cancer."

Turning to the Birds of a Feather star, Kaye remarked: "It was really good to see her Linda, she looked wonderful as ever. But we don't know what's going on."

Linda replied: "We don't know...she hasn't been seen since Christmas Day or around the Christmas period. To see her with her kids and her husband on Saturday. She looked radiant."

The ITV presenter said it was great to see the royal but noted Kate's three children were a "good distraction".

"There was a lot of focus on the kids, wasn't there?" Kaye shared. "They are such a good distraction at this time."

A VT then cut to the royals, and Kate could be seen leaving her carriage and going to watch the ceremony on a balcony with her children. But royal fans were distracted by Louis.

He could be seen playing with a curtain string as he watched the proceedings. He also let out a big yawn at one point. Later in the ceremony, Louis began dancing, much to Kate's amusement.

Denise remarked: "You can imagine how much of a handful he is."

Kaye went on: "It must be so difficult to have that level of public scrutiny they under at the moment - to put that face on, wow."

The former Coronation Street star added: "For whatever reason she did it, it gave everybody a boost and reassured everybody that she is doing ok and will be back."

The Loose Women concluded by "wishing Kate all the best" as discussion turned to Father's Day and Prince William's poignant post to mark the celebratory occasion on Sunday.

Kaye had viewers in hysterics when she noted Prince William's calf muscles in a cheeky admission.

The main host said: "Speaking of the royals, George, Charlotte and Louis shared their first social media post. It was a lovely picture with their dad, Prince William. I think that's on a beach in Norfolk."

Before she cheekily added: "He's got lovely calf's hasn't he?"

The royal could be seen looking out onto the beach with his arms wrapped around his three children while wearing a pair of green shorts.

"I think you're the only person to have said that," Denise chuckled.

The heartwarming family photo was taken by Kate with the caption, "We love you, Papa. Happy Father’s Day," and was signed off "G, C & L".

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm

Pictures of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at the Coronation of their grandfather perfectly exemplify the special bond the children share.

Their parents Kate and William are trying to raise their children to have as normal an upbringing as they can, and the cheeky moments the duo share shows they're just like any other child despite their immense privilege.

But their uncle Prince Harry recently shared his concerns for Charlotte and Louis's fate, saying: "Though William and I have talked about it once or twice, and he has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility, I still feel a responsibility knowing that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the 'spare'. And that hurts, that worries me."

Express Royal takes a look through all of Charlotte and Louis’s adorable moments at the Coronation and what their future holds.
