Where is My Lady Jane filmed? All the locations and if you can visit
My Lady Jane is a lavish new historical drama from Amazon Prime Video, but where was the show filmed and can you visit any of the locations?
My Lady Jane: Emily Bader stars in trailer for Prime Video series
My Lady Jane will stun history buffs and TV fans alike when it releases on Amazon Prime Video this week.
Starring Emily Bader as Jane Grey, the new historical drama from Gemma Burgess and Meredith Glynn follows the real-life figure on a fantastical and romantic adventure that’s very different from what’s in the textbooks.
Set in the Tudor era, after the death of King Henry VIII, the series was lucky enough to film in several iconic locations throughout the UK.
Many of them are just a short drive from London and definitely worth a visit this summer.
From the magnificent exteriors around Hampton Court to the lavish interiors of Herstmonceux Castle, here’s everywhere fans can visit on a My Lady Jane tour.
Showrunners Gemma and Meredith gave Express.co.uk an extensive rundown of many of the real locations the series used in addition to impeccably crafted sets.
“We were at Hampton Court Palace, we went to Great Chalfield Manor and Dorney Court,” Gemma shared.
“We went to Broughton Castle, we went to Herstmonceux [and] Dover Castle.
“And then we had wonderful sets. I don’t know what the breakdown is… 50/50?”

One member of the cast who was thrilled to be filming in real locations was Rob Brydon, who fondly remembered having his very own castle when he spoke to us.
“The sets were so well realised that you felt like you were at [the real locations],” he said.
“So, my castle was real, Dover Castle was real. But, when we were in the Great Hall, those were all sets.
“It was so real. The corridors would literally lead onto the hall, and the corridors had ceilings! Which is quite rare.
“Often you’ll have the set but you go up to a certain level and it’ll be green screen where they add stuff in. So that really helped you feel like you were there.”
While Locations Manager Bill Darby recalled to Prime Video: “We set out on a road trip quite quickly and spent about 2-3 weeks scouting locations for our body of work, which spanned as far west as Cornwall and as far north as Derbyshire.
“We ended up with a great selection of locations across the UK that we felt tied in perfectly with the show and really brought My Lady Jane to life.”
