On Monday's edition of BBC Breakfast, Carol Kirkwood was reporting about the hot temperatures from a lido in Greenwich.

However, fans couldn't help but notice that every time Carol came on screen to report about the high temperatures, she was gradually becoming more 'pink' and viewers became concerned about her getting sunburnt.

Taking to X, formally known as Twitter, one person complained: " So @carolkirkwood presenting weather heat alert on @BBCBreakfast in direct sunlight & getting sunburn on her chest??…. COME ON #BBCBreakfast put our lovely Carol in some shade….. SET AN EXAMPLE."

Another fan also chimed in: "Carol is getting more pink with every weather update. Please slap on the Factor 50 #bbcbreakfast."

A third person also typed: "Carols going redder and redder as the morning goes on #bbcbreakfast." A fourth said: "Oops! Carol forgot her sunscreen at the weekend."

Heat-health alerts have been issued for most of England as Brits are expected to bask in daytime temperatures up to 29 degrees this week.
