Ruth Langsford says to never 'cross' Eamonn Holmes

Last month, Loose Women star Ruth Langsford and GB News’ Eamonn Holmes announced they had decided to separate. After 14 years of marriage and one child, they’ve decided to call it a day on their marriage.

As the entertainment power duo have been on screens for many years, their relationship has often been a talking topic, especially on Loose Women. In an old episode of Life Before Loose, the panel delved into Ruth’s love life.

Host Brenda Edwards asked her which one of them wears the trousers in their relationship, as Ruth joked it was obviously her. She confessed: “It’s equal in different ways.

“I hate when people say, ‘We share everything equally’ I think, well we don’t! I never wash my car, I never put fluid in the car, I put the bins out.” Wanting to know more about the dynamics of their relationship, Janet Street-Porter questioned what Eamonn does.

She replied: “Eamonn doesn’t really tidy up the kitchen much. Doesn’t cook, I cook because I love cooking and I don’t want him in my kitchen. I’m happy with that.”

“When you think about it, you put the work in with your friendships, with your work colleagues. You put work into that, so you should put work into your relationships.”
