This Morning fans 'switch off' over presenting duo and call it 'the worst episode ever'
During Friday's instalment of This Morning, fans of the show were greeted by Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson as Dermot O'Leary was away on holiday.

ITV fans were left divided after Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson co-presented together on Friday's edition of This Morning. Due to Dermot O'Leary being away on holiday, his role was filled by Alison in a presenter shake-up.
The duo have been firm friends for years and opened the show with a monologue about how they're eachothers Thelma and Lousie. There was also a surprise appearance from Rylan Clark who pretended to be their Brad Pitt.
However, fans weren't too keen on seeing the two presenters together on screen. One person moaned on X: "Had to turn off the rubbish that is #ThisMorning. The inane drivel between Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson is beyond the pale!"
A second person also commented: "The Alison & Josie show today, what fun. Not… #thismorning." A third typed: "Had to switch off too much wheezing and cackling from Hammond! @thismorning #ThisMorning." A fourth said: "Is this going to be the worst episode ever…"
Despite this, many fans were delighted seeing Alison and Josie present together. One person said: "Love Alison Dermot Josie & Rylan. Makes me want to watch again."

A second person agreed and also said: "Like Josie and Alison together #ThisMorning." A third person also wrote: " #ThisMorning Hilarious. Never boring when Alison and Josie are on. We need to see more of them and Dermot and Rylan."
During the first segment, Alison and Josie spoke to Gyles Brandreth and Tom Swarbrick about the latest current affairs and trending topics. In one live blunder, Josie thought Tom was 43-years-old and he replied: "I'm actually 37."
This left both Josie and Alison in stitches, with Josie apologising for the awkward error. Fans quickly picked up on the live mistake and took to X to voice their reaction.

One person said: "Tbf I thought Tom Swarbrick was older than 37 #ThisMorning." Another person said: "Out there thought but Tom and Josie would be an ideal presenting duo I think. He cracks me up."
Earlier this week, fans criticised Ashley James on This Morning after she made a comment about turning her heating on due to the cold weather. The presenter and model said that she's turned on her "Dyson heater" as temperatures plummeted this week.
The nation has experienced a very cold start to summer, due to air moving in from the Arctic. It is a massive contrast to last year when the UK experienced the hottest June on record.
Speaking about the cold, Ashley mentioned that she has put her children back in winter pyjamas and she has also "turned on her Dyson heater." This sparked fury with fans online who immediately picked up on her comment.
