During Thursday's installment of This Morning, fans were left surprised after Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey was given a fashion makeover.

This Morning fans were left divided after Sir Ed Davey appeared on the show and got given a summer "makeover." The leader of the Liberal Democrat party spoke about his manifesto ahead of the upcoming General Election next month.
After he spoke to Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, the hosts then treated viewers with a fashion catwalk as Ed Davey was given a summer makeover by an expert.
Fans couldn't help but take to social media as they couldn't quite believe what they were watching. One person said on X: "#EdDavey is the worst #ITV catwalk model ever on @thismorning #ThisMorning."
A second person also commented: " I really don't know what I'm witnessing right now #ThisMorning." A third also typed: " Second hand embarrassment is hitting hard #thismorning."
However, some fans really enjoyed the segment and praised Ed for bringing some fun to the programme. One person said: "#ThisMorning Ed Davey looks very smart, glad they did a good job. He talked extremely well, nothing to hide, honest and open talking. This is how our politicians should be. And important points made, particularly about carers."

A second person also chimed in: "Just caught @EdwardJDavey on #ThisMorning doing an interview. But stuck around to see the results of his makeover-he looks good! Watch out for Riviera Ed on the campaign trail! Nice bit of light relief."
A third person also said: "Ed Davey is coming across a lovely gent who has been the only one mentioning carers & seems more normal & likeable than any other party leader #thismorning."
Earlier in the show, fans criticised Ashley James after she made a comment about turning her heating on due to the cold weather. The presenter and model said that she's turned on her "Dyson heater" as temperatures plummeted this week.

The nation has experienced a very cold start to summer, due to air moving in from the Arctic. It is a massive contrast to last year when the UK experienced the hottest June on record.
Speaking about the cold, Ashley mentioned that she has put her children back in winter pyjamas and she has also "turned on her Dyson heater." This sparked fury with fans online who immediately picked up on her comment.
One person moaned on X: "Don’t mind me, darling, I was just cranking up my Dyson heater! #ThisMorning." A second person said: "Why did she have to say “Dyson heater” not just heater #Thismorning."
