Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are not responsible for the failings of their father Prince Andrew and should not be treated as such, an expert has said.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have been advised to "keep their heads down and quietly get on with their lives" following Prince Andrew's royal scandal.

The Duke of York was forced to step down as a working royal after his 2019 Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis during which he tried to defend his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

His daughters have never publicly spoken about the allegations surrounding Andrew, which he has always vehemently denied, but one PR expert has said they have no need to.

Luana Ribeira, PR gurur and founder of Dauntless PR, told GB News: "For Beatrice and Eugenie, there is also the 'Prince Andrew factor'.

"Although they cannot be held responsible for the words and actions of their father, I think their current strategy of keeping their head down and quietly getting on with life is a wise one for them."

Beatrice and Eugenie are not working royals, meaning they have their own jobs outside the Firm and are not funded by the UK taxpayer.

However they are still invited to appear at occasional royal events to support the family, as they both attended a garden party last month hosted by their cousin Prince William.

There had been rumours that they would be seen on the Buckingham Palace balcony for Trooping the Colour on June 15 to boost royal numbers, with Princess Kate and her children unlikely to attend.

But one royal expert has quashed this, with author Tom Quinn telling The Mirror: " As his two cousins pivot towards his exiled brother, and with his wife and father incapacitated by illness, William feels increasingly isolated and in the closed hothouse atmosphere of Kensington Palace and Windsor he is bound to feel increasingly paranoid.

"For William it's a question of loyalty – as Beatrice and Eugenie have got closer to Harry William has decided to keep them very much at arm’s length.

"The two sisters are known to be close to William's brother, Harry, with the Duke of Sussex thinking his cousins can 'sympathise' with him the most."

Beatrice and Eugenie are kept busy with their young families, with Eugenie having two sons, August and Ernest, with her husband Jack Brooksbank.

The Princess shared four new images of her youngest son Ernest earlier this week to celebrate his first birthday, a treat for royal fans as she normally shields her children from publicity.

Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have a daughter together named Sienna, who will turn three in September, and she is also stepmum to his son Wolfie from a previous relationship.
