Prince Harry and Meghan are becoming increasingly “irrelevant” as the Royal Family “command attention every time”.

That’s the stinging analysis from a leading royal commentator as she reflects on the Sussex’s penchant for coinciding updates with mayor royal announcements.

In recent months this has included a recent product release by Meghan which clashed with Trooping the Colour when the Princess of Wales was making her first appearance since undergoing treatment for cancer.

There was also the decision to announce Meghan's luxury lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard shortly before Prince William spoke at an awards ceremony in honour of his mother Diana, Princess of Wales.

Jennie Bond, former BBC royal correspondent, weighed in on their timings - but had some thoughts that were brutal.

She said: "I can’t honestly imagine that they are sitting there scheming to make announcements on the same day as a royal event. Surely they are bigger than that?", reports OK!.

Jennie added: "It’s true that there have been some rather strange coincidences in the past about the timing of some of their announcements.

“But I think they are becoming less and less relevant to the news over here, and the Royal Family will command the attention every time."

Meanwhile Prince William and two of his three children - Prince George and Princess Charlotte - enjoyed the first of Taylor Swift’s three-night Eras Tour concerts in London.

The trio took selfies with Swift, who thanked her "m8" the Prince of Wales for bringing the family to see her perform.

But one commentator reminded that their clear bond with the pop star contrasted with the Sussex's as Meghan Markle was "rejected" by the international idol

Swift had previously rejected an invitation by the Duchess of Sussex to take part in her Spotify podcast series Archetype before it was shut down last year despite Meghan personally reaching out, it's been reported.

Speaking to GB News, commentator Kinsey Schofield said: "Now, remember, Meghan Markle had requested for Taylor to be her podcast.

"She wrote her a handwritten letter and Taylor's team rejected it.”

She added: "So I think we are seeing our Taylor side with Team Wales here over the last few hours.

“Also, you know, a lot of people pointing out the pictures of Meghan and Harry at the Beyoncé concert, where Harry looks pretty miserable versus Prince William shaking his tail feathers at the Taylor Swift concert.

“You're just seeing that Prince William is pursuing joy. And I think that is important."
