Princess Eugenie shares rare picture of son Ernest to mark his first birthday
Princess Eugenie and her family are celebrating the first birthday of little Ernest as she posted a sweet tribute.
Ernest Brooksbank turns one today, May 30, and his proud mum Princess Eugenie shared four charming never seen before pictures to mark the occasion.
The York princess posted the images on her Instagram, showing one of Ernest in a personalised football shirt, another of him at Easter, and one with his big brother August giving him a cute kiss on the cheek.
She captioned the post: "One year of you my dear Ernest. Happy birthday!! We all love you so much, especially your enormous smile you give the world.. but you always save an extra special one for Mumma. Xxx" followed by a kissing face emoji.
Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank was born on May 30 2023, a second son for Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, who are also parents to three-year-old August.
The youngest member of the family arrived just a few weeks after King Charles's Coronation on May 6, with Eugenie arriving at the ceremony heavily pregnant.

Since Ernest's birth, Eugenie has been very selective about the images she chooses to post of him, as she is with her older son August. The Princess prefers to share images on her personal Instagram account, although she never shows their faces.
Royal fans in the comments were quick to gush over the new photos, with one saying: "Happy birthday. [I] can’t believe it’s been a whole year."
Another added: "What a charming baby (August, too, of course) ?????? Happy Birthday, Ernest! My dad's name is also Ernest."
One fan page also wrote: "Happy Birthday can't believe it's been a whole year."
Fan, @_simplicityinallthings_ added: "Aww how precious. Happy 1st Birthday Ernest.. such a special day for a special little boy."

When the royal baby was born on May 30, 2023, he weighed a healthy 7.1lbs. A statement from Buckingham Palace said: "Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their son, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank."
Eugenie and Jack have been married for five years and the couple tied the knot at St George's Chapel, Windsor on October 12, 2018.
Only children of the sovereign, children of the sons of the sovereign, and the oldest living son of the Prince of Wales are eligible to receive the HRH status and prince and princess titles.
This means that baby Ernest and his older brother August, being great nephews of King Charles, cannot be granted titles.
Explaining Ernest's full name when he was born, the Princess explained: "He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald. Augie is loving being a big brother already."
