Man Utd: Transfer target Camavinga’s perfect assist Vs PSG
Manchester United believe they’re ahead of Real Madrid in the race to sign Rennes star Eduardo Camavinga, reports say. The 17-year-old had impressed in Ligue 1 before the French government chose to pull the plug on the season due to the coronavirus crisis. And United look set to rival the La Liga giants for a possible transfer deal this summer.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seen his midfield improve of late, helping the club win eight of their last 11 matches across all competitions.
Bruno Fernandes has become an instant fan favourite at Old Trafford, shining in the Premier League since his January move from Sporting Lisbon.
Fred looks more and more like a £52million player with every passing game, while Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic have both impressed.
United also have Paul Pogba set to return from injury when the Premier League comes back, while big things are expected of youngster James Garner.
But, despite that, the Metro say United are eager to sign Rennes star Camavinga this summer.
The 17-year-old has sparkled in Ligue 1 with his composed performances drawing comparisons with Liverpool and Real Madrid hero Xabi Alonso.

The 17-year-old is one of Real Madrid’s main alternatives to Paul Pogba.
But what happens regarding the Rennes star is something only time will tell.
Meanwhile, Rennes boss Julien Stephan was recently asked about the future of his teenage talent.
And he expressed a belief that staying in Ligue 1 would be best for Camavinga’s development, saying: "It would do him good to stay at least one more year at Rennes because he needs to back up what he's done.
"He's in a place he knows well, he's at a club that has enormous trust in him and he's surrounded by people who know him perfectly.
