It looked as though All Creatures Great and Small star Rachel Shenton had nothing but kind words when speaking about her on-screen sister. Imogen Clawson plays Jenny Alderson in the Channel 5 drama.

Imogen first joined the beloved show when she was 13 years old, with All Creatures Great and Small being her acting debut.

Working with the youngster for the past few years, Rachel touched on what it’s been like seeing her fictional sibling grow up both on and off-screen.

The 36-year-old confessed: “Well, I’d like her to stop growing now, because she’s actually taller than me, so I’d like that to stop. We joke about it all the time.

“I’m like, “Could we just do scenes where she’s sitting on a chair because she’s so much taller than me?”

It seems as though the duo also get along when the cameras stop rolling as the Channel 5 star reveals they go for meals together.

She told Masterpiece: “Oh, she’s gorgeous, absolutely lovely. She’s a joy to be around. She’s so bright, and a pleasure on and off set, and to see her grow as an actor.

“And we hang out outside of work, go to Nando’s sometimes, which is a sort of cheesy fast food place around here, and have a burger and chip.

“We catch up on life as well as work, and so we’ve got that relationship, which is really lovely.

In the latest season of All Creatures Great and Small, viewers were thrilled when Helen gave birth in a festive special.

Although things weren’t quite as planned as her husband James Herriot (played by Nicholas Ralph) was away from the farm completing his RAF training.

After a series of mishaps, James was allowed to return home for two days, although he had missed the birth of his son, which Helen also called James.

Despite the celebrations, the couple knew James had to return back to camp shortly, unaware of how long he’d be gone.

The final scenes saw the pair embrace as they doted over their newborn, sharing a kiss as James stepped back into his home before being made to leave and continue his duties as War continues to loom.

Earlier this year, it was announced that the beloved series had been renewed for a further two more seasons.

Fan-favourite Tristan Farnon (Callum Woodhouse) will also be returning to the programme following his emotional exit in season three.

All Creatures Great and Small is available to watch on My5.
