In Tuesday's episode of the Channel 4 hit A Place in the Sun, viewers swiftly identified a snag during a "difficult" property hunt led by Jean Johansson, who was tasked with assisting Londoners Ryan and Steve secure their dreamy Gran Canaria holiday retreat.

The duo had their hearts set on a roomy beachside apartment conveniently located near shops and nightlife areas, all within their £180,000 maximum budget. While it was Ryan's first time in the region, Steve had already developed a fondness for the area, adding pressure to Jean's challenging endeavor.

Especially since Steve pledged to refurbish the interior of any prospective purchase. This led Jean to question Ryan, asking: "Is this going to be a difficult search?" As expected, Ryan promptly confirmed her suspicion.

A resigned Jean jokingly remarked, "This is going to be a fun search, I can tell."

Despite a rocky start, the house hunt took a positive turn as several properties caught the couple's attention. However, it was the last property that truly captured their hearts.
