Emmerdale exit sealed for beloved couple after Ruby Milligan revenge plan

Following Nicky and Suni's abrupt exit from Emmerdale last week, it seems Ruby and Caleb are also planning to flee the village.

Emmerdale: Caleb and Ruby learn more about Nicky's crash

Ruby Fox-Miligan (played by Beth Cordingly) confirmed plans to leave the village with husband Caleb (William Ash) during Tuesday's visit to the Dales (July 9).

In the latest instalment of Emmerdale, Kim Tate (Claire King) poked fun at Ruby following Nicky Miligan's (Lewis Cope) recent exit. "Bus stop or train station?", Kim asked Ruby before adding: "I'm fervently hoping that you're off to join your son at whatever rock he's crawled back under."

Ruby snapped back: "I was just going to get some flowers for your grave, you mouldy corpse."

Later in the episode, Ruby met up with Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) as they spoke about their plot to bring Kim down.

Standing in the woods next to a river, the two women poked fun at each other before Rose told Ruby: "I'm sorry your lads gone."

"Yeah me too", Ruby replied. "Anyway me and Caleb are going away for a bit."

She added: "We're going to take stock, reassess, work through all the cliches", confirming their plans to leave the village.

Rose then asked: "Family comes first, doesn't it? Never thought I'd be saying that", as Ruby shared her confusion.

"You wanting to stop this thing we're doing, it's for the best", Rose added.

Snapping back Ruby explained: "I don't want to stop this thing we're doing. I want to go away knowing it's all coming together."

"When Kim gets her comeuppance it will be hilarious," Ruby added before reminding Rose that she paid off her debts and in return, she must "get it done."

Ruby's husband Caleb tried to destroy Kim too in the past after it emerged he was the secret son of Frank Tate (Norman Bowler). Frank was Kim's ex, and she left him to die after he suffered a heart attack, with Caleb blaming her for his death.

Caleb believed Home Farm and everything Kim had was rightfully his not hers, given she stole some of Frank's assets. While Caleb dropped his plan, and did some time ago, it seems Ruby is taking over with the help of Rose.

Ruby has instructed Rose to exploit her romantic history with Kim's husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews). As a cuckoo in the nest at Home Farm, Rose seems perfectly placed to seduce her ex – which would naturally leave Kim devastated.

Ruby's plan to destroy Kim and get out of the village with Caleb comes after their son Nick made an exit last week.

When Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) became suspicious over the Milligan family's potential involvement in Ethan's hit-and-run, Caleb decided to take the blame for the incident rather than let Ruby get into trouble.

When Caleb and Ruby tried to bring Nicky in on their latest ruse, he finally lost patience and realised that it was time to leave the village with Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) amid his parents' lies.

Will Ruby and Caleb actually leave the Dales? Fans will have to wait and see.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX.
