Downton Abbey's very own Harry Hadden-Paton, famed for his portrayal of Herbert "Bertie" Pelham, has spilled the beans on the highly anticipated third film. Gracing the red carpet at the London premiere of Twisters, the 43-year-old actor couldn't contain his enthusiasm about the ongoing production.

Harry amped up the excitement for fans who are already on the edge of their seats, revealing: "We all know what we're doing by now I would say it's bigger and better than before. The set pieces are massive."

Teasing further, he added: "There's a drone in almost every new scene and an amazing new cast as well. Some really exciting new people," while cleverly keeping the juiciest details under wraps. When quizzed about reuniting with the Downton Abbey ensemble, Harry's response was nothing short of heartwarming, reports the Mirror.

"It's wonderful, it's like slipping into an old pair of slippers. Everyone knows everyone so well. We've all been through quite a bit together so there are no surprises. It's easy and we're all very grateful for it. It's a joy to have a chance to get together again," Harry gushed.

The Downton Abbey film franchise is set to dazzle fans once again as production for the third movie kicks off. The official Instagram account for the franchise shared a clip of the cast gearing up for a table read.

We come back together and it feels like no time has passed at all. We're so happy to announce that we're in production for the third Downton Abbey movie, we can't wait to see you."

Mark your calendars for September 12, 2025, when the eagerly awaited third chapter of the Downton Abbey saga hits cinemas. Once again, the screenplay is the handiwork of Julian Fellowes, with Simon Curtis, who directed 2022's Downton Abbey: A New Era, at the helm.

Details of the plot are being kept under wraps, but the story will pick up following the touching farewell to the Dowager Countess, Lady Violet (portrayed by Maggie Smith). With Lady Mary now leading the charge at Downton, fans are in for a new era within the grand walls of the beloved estate.
