The popular BBC programme has been a hit since its debut in 1979, with fans eagerly anticipating each week's surprising valuations of various items brought in by guests.

Over the years, there have been many memorable moments, from experts nearly dropping vases to accidentally 'drinking' urine. Fiona, 59, who has been hosting the show since 2008, has seen her fair share of shocking moments.

One incident stood out to the presenter as she recalled the moment a couple hastily departed the show after learning the value of their item and "dumped it" immediately.

Fiona recently appeared on ITV's Celebrity Catchphrase, hosted by Stephen Mulhern, where she was asked about her experiences on Antiques Roadshow, reports the Daily Record.

Stephen said: "We know you as a presenter, as a very serious news reader. We know you from Antiques Roadshow as well, of course. Have you ever seen anybody really cheesed off when they bring their item in and they get told it's worth absolutely nothing?"

Fiona, laughing, responded: "Everyone tells me they love that bit. And yes, I mean, many times." She then detailed the hilarious moment, adding: "Some people came along once, a couple and they had an enormous painting.

"They lugged it along and it took them ages. Eventually the specialist saw it and said £30 maybe, and they were so cross." Fiona revealed: "They dumped it against a hedge and stormed off."
