It looks as though Britain's Got Talent viewers were less than impressed during the show-stopping finale on Sunday night. After 11 acts took to the stage, it was 28-year-old Sydnie Christmas who was voted champion.

However, once hosts Ant and Dec announced the winner of this year’s series, it wasn’t long before people complained about the outcome. In fact, according to Ofcom’s latest figures, the ITV show received a total of 92 complaints on June 2.

An Ofcom spokesperson told Express.co.uk: “Britain’s Got Talent: complaints related to a variety of issues including the outcome.” Controversy surrounding Sydnie first arose when fans discovered the contestant was already a professional singer.

With magician Jack Rhodes finishing in second place, people wasted no time in slamming the results, with some claiming the outcome was fixed.

Sharing their thoughts, @Brightonfan said: “Sydnie Christmas a PROFESSIONAL singer, with a song already on Spotify. Has won Britain’s Got Talent. What a total fix, so glad I stopped watching that s**t years and years ago!!!”

@rogernook commented: “Biggest fix Sydnie winning they are not fooling anyone.”

However, there were some viewers who were thrilled that the 28-year-old had won the show.

At the time, @_Billiehoughtxn wrote: “#bgt here come all the booooring 'fix' comments [sic] Sydnie SO deserved that win btw, amazing.”

When she was announced as the winner, Sydnie instantly jumped up and down with excitement before getting overwhelmed with emotion.

Trying to gather her thoughts, she commented: “I cannot believe the amount of love that I’ve felt since it aired.

“I am overwhelmed with love and it’s the most amazing thing. I wish, I wish for one day that every single person in this room can feel the way that I do, one day, with this love. It’s amazing, thank you so much.”

The contestant will be walking away with a huge £25,000 cash prize along with a spot to sing at this year’s Royal Variety Performance.

However, the outcome of the results wasn’t the only thing about the finale that disgruntled viewers.

BGT Amanda Holden

Many were unimpressed with Amanda Holden’s outfit choice as she sat alongside her fellow judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli.

The 53-year-old was seen wearing a stunning silver dress with a racy plunging neckline.

It’s not the first time people watching have complained about Amanda’s outfit choices as the show has been hit with Ofcom complaints in the past about her revealing ensembles on the ITV family show.

Britain’s Got Talent is available to watch on ITVX.
