Emmerdale's Belle Dingle pregnancy twist sees her life in danger as Tom's abuse escalates

It looks as though Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle (played by find Eden Taylor-Draper) is about to discover her family is expanding. Official spoilers for the ITV soap reveal Belle is about to find out she’s pregnant.

Not wanting people to know, Belle feigns illness to hide it from her husband Tom King (James Chase) and Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley). Later on, she decides to visit the doctor with the support of Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson).

While Belle is feeling apprehensive about her options, she’s unaware that drama is unfolding with her husband. Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) wastes no time in lecturing Tom about selling Belle’s car without consulting him.

Paranoid, Tom quickly accuses Belle of mouthing off about the car and starts to interrogate a nervous Belle. Raising a hand to her, Belle is left with no choice but to blurt out that she’s pregnant, fearful he’d hurt her.

Once the shocking news settles in, Tom’s demeanour suddenly changes as he pulls his wife in for a hug. While they both cry, it’s clear Belle’s tears are not from joy.

Urging him to keep the pregnancy just between the two of them for the time being, they decide to get some fresh air by having a stroll along River Walk with Piper.

However, Belle is still unsure whether or not she fully trusts this new version of Tom as he vows to be a better husband.

As he seems sincere, Belle starts to soften, as she dares to hope they still have a chance with him promising to change.

Despite this, his excitement takes over as he reveals the news about Belle’s pregnancy to Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry).

Later on, Jimmy King (Nick Miles) congratulates Belle on the news, however, she’s furious to discover that Tom has told people.

Tom tries to talk her round as she struggles to keep a lid on her anger, feeling as though her privacy has been invaded.

It seems as though Tom’s smooth-talking works as Belle softens and feels hopeful.

With a few people knowing, Belle admits that they might as well tell everyone now, trying to convince herself it's all going to be okay.

The next day, Belle is shocked to find herself locked in the house alone.

After leaving some food on the hob to cook, she decides to go for a nap with Piper.

However, unbeknownst to Belle, a tea towel starts to singe in the kitchen whilst she naps.

Is Belle’s life in danger as she’s unaware there could be a potential fire starting in the house?
