Man Utd are 'confident' of Bruno Fernandes deal claims pundit
Manchester United would have likely signed Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon during the summer transfer window had Paul Pogba departed, reports say. The France international was, and still is, linked with a move to La Liga titans Real Madrid and Serie A giants Juventus.
Manchester United have, at long last, agreed a deal that will take Sporting Lisbon star Fernandes to Old Trafford.
On Tuesday it emerged that Barcelona were eyeing the Portugal international, who they would then loan to Valencia in return for a loan deal for Rodrigo.
United, however, upped the ante and struck a deal with Sporting that will see them pay an initial £46million up front.
They have also agreed to give the Primeira Liga side a further £8.5m in add-ons should certain conditions be met.
Many were baffled as to why United didn’t land Fernandes during the summer transfer window.
The club were heavily linked with a move at the time but didn’t decide to sure up their interest.
