Man Utd: Julien Laurens slams Ed Woodward's transfer strategy
Manchester United chief Ed Woodward simply hasn’t been good enough since he succeeded David Gill in 2013. He, alongside the Glazers, are responsible for the club’s struggles. We now look at an XI the Red Devils could field made from flop signings made under his watch.
United thought they’d signed the ideal backup in Victor Valdes. However, he played just twice before falling out with Louis van Gaal and leaving the club as a result.
Matteo Darmian
Van Gaal thought United would benefit from Matteo Darmian’s arrival in 2015. He spent four years at the club before eventually leaving back in the summer.

Alexis Sanchez
With just five goals, on wages of £400,000-a-week, Alexis Sanchez is arguably the worst signing in the club’s entire history.
Angel Di Maria
United thought they’d struck gold when they lured Angel Di Maria to Old Trafford. He faded after a bright start, however, and left for PSG having gone awol.

Memphis Depay
