Man Utd: Alexis Sanchez will 'prove you all wrong' says Solskjaer
Manchester United have made £118million Valencia striker Maxi Gomez a top transfer target for the summer, it’s been claimed. But a potential deal rests on whether executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward decides to hire a sporting director at Old Trafford.

His contract isn’t up until the 2024 season but United want to sign him this summer - even if it means paying such a huge amount.
The report also states that the deal hinges on whether United chief Woodward decides to hire a sporting director between now and the summer.
“We let Alexis and Romelu go, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see that it’s a forward that next time we’re going to recruit – we’re looking for some creativity and goals,” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said last year.
And since then, Rashford has been ruled out until March with a back problem, leaving Mason Greenwood to pick up the scraps.
