Man Utd are 'confident' of Bruno Fernandes deal claims pundit
Manchester United are hoping to accompany the imminent signing of Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes with a striker swoop, according to reports. The Red Devils are on the verge of signing the Portugal international after weeks of intense speculation.
Manchester United, on Tuesday, finally agreed a deal with Sporting that will see Fernandes make the move to Old Trafford before the transfer window shuts on Friday.
The Portugal international has spent weeks in limbo, waiting to find out whether he’ll be making the move to the Premier League.
And that, finally, appears set to happen with United forking out an initial £46million on the 25-year-old.
They’ve also agreed to pay Sporting a further £8.5m in add-ons.
And the Telegraph say United are now hoping to sign a striker late in the day.
The Red Devils are short on firepower in the wake of Marcus Rashford’s back injury, with the player set to miss the next three months through injury.
