BBC Race Across The World is coming back for another new series very soon - but fans have hit the show’s bosses with the same demand.

The recent series 4 of the hit reality globetrotting contest saw Isabel and Eugenie pipped to the post by Alfie and Owen in the race from Japan to Indonesia.

The show, which tasks pairs with travelling across the world on public transport without flying, for the cost of a plane ticket between their start and end points, has exploded in popularity for the BBC.

And the most recent series was one of the most watched shows on BBC iPlayer this year.

But now the official BBC Race Across The World account This journey may be over... But a new one is about to begin.

“#CelebrityRaceAcrossTheWorld coming soon to BBC One and #iPlayer”

This will be the second celebrity version of the show, after last year saw McFly star Harry Judd compete with his mum alongside TV weatherman Alex Beresford and racer Billy Monger, who unfortunately was forced to pull out due to a family issue.

Reacting to the news, some fans were concerned that the celebrity version isn't as good and they prefer it with normal people.

Others thoguh are excited and they want to know who’s on it and when it’s out, with a few already figuring out the teasers.

@eamon38650173 said: “Fantastic, I hope I don`t know any of them, so it is watchable like the last celebrity series.”

@anteneh mulu added: "Race across the world is wonderful tv show it is should be only for ordinary people, the moment they add celebrities we lose the feeling of watching it"

@avhughes said; “Is it me or does that last audio clip sound like Stuart Broad?” but @simonshuter added: “I thought it was Scott Mills, unfortunately”

@wendy askham said: "Excited to see who’s on the celebrity Race."
