ABBA legends Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson responded curtly when asked about the whereabouts of the female members of the band at the second anniversary show for Voyage in London on Tuesday night. The pair were partaking in a Q&A before the show when the moderator asked them, "Do you know where the ladies are tonight?"

Without missing a beat, Bjorn shot back,"No". However Benny seemed far more incredulous and clapped back: "Why would we know that?"

There was a sense of tension in the room until Bjorn seemed keen to clarify that both Agnetha Falkstog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad were doing well. "They’re fine," he said. "I'm seeing them on Friday.

"We get together very rarely these days," he admitted,"but this week it’s happening". This led to cheers from the crowd and the awkward situation was quickly forgotten about as the Q&A ended.

The last time all four members of the group were seen together was at the opening of Voyage in May 2022. Since then, Anni-Frid - known as Frida - has visited the show several times. Benny and Bjorn are also regular attendees. However, Agnetha hasn't returned to the custom built arena since.

At the height of the band's fame, the members were famously coupled up - with Bjorn and Agnetha married, and Benny and Frida engaged.

After a very long engagement, Benny and Frida eventually married in 1978, but they separated in 1980. Meanwhile, Bjorn and Agnetha, who have two children together, had called it a day in 1979.

Ultimately, the group split up in 1982 and Agnetha and Frida went on to record solo albums while Benny and Bjorn continued to work together.

Possibly their most famous non-ABBA project is the musical Chess, which they wrote with Sir Tim Rice.

The starry second anniversary show saw guests including Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold, Little Britain star Matt Lucas, 80s chart topper Rick Astley, Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri and Absolutely Fabulous legend Joanna Lumley asking the songwriting duo their burning questions.

However, there was a moment of drama when, 15 minutes in to the 45 minute chat, an audience member had a medical emergency. While the fans were screaming and cheering for the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest winning stars, it took a moment for people to realise that one group were actually signalling for help.

When the moderator of the chat understood what was going on, he announced the emergency, and as soon as the staff realised the situation, they sprang into action. Bjorn stood up from his seat, looking concerned for the person, while a medic rushed through the crowd on the dancefloor.

They then brought a wheelchair over to the stricken fan and they were taken care of on site while the show carried on. The whole incident took mere minutes to resolve, and once Bjorn and Benny realised the fan was being looked after, they continued with the question and answer session.
